Anything to do with food, whether it is a table set with the family Sunday roast, an orchard of apple trees - or something a little different like Andy Warhol's cans of tomato soup!!
The competition will be split into three age ranges, age 4 – 7, 8 – 11 and 12 – 16 years of age. The prize for the winner in each category will be to have their artwork professionally framed by Martin and exhibited in Martin's Gallery during the Food Festival. All other entries can be collected from the gallery during the Festival weekend.
The judges of the competition are Welsh artist, Goff Danter and gallery owner, Martin Fletcher. The closing date for the competition is at the end of the school summer term, on July 21st 2011. We will be approaching local, Abergavenny schools to ask them to get their pupils to enter, but individuals are welcome to approach us with artwork directly.
