2007 FESTIVAL VENUES, DIRECTIONS AND PARKING



GETTING HERE...

BY CAR: The M4 from London, the South-East and Home Counties; the A40 via the Cotswolds, Gloucester and Monmouth; The M6, M5, M50 and A40 from the North and Midlands, or through the Welsh Marches by way of the A449, A465 or A466.

PARK AND RIDE/WALK: To avoid congestion in the town centre, three special car-parks will available for the Festival and it is recommended that visitors use these:

  • Castle Meadows Park & Walk - 10 minute walk. Access off A465 (Heads of the Valleys Road).
  • Bailey Park, Park & Walk - 5 minute walk. Access off A465 (Hereford to Abergavenny Road).
  • Park and Ride facilities will also be available on the Saturday at Maindiff Court Farm and Llanellen - these will be clearly signed off the main trunk roads.

Please note: car parks are on grass land - weather conditions may affect surface condition

 

BY COACH: There are regular long-distance services to Newport (contact your National Express travel agent) connecting with National Welsh and Red and White service to Abergavenny.

 

BY RAIL: Abergavenny is served by fast and frequent train services on the Cardiff to Manchester line. Connections from London Paddington, Bristol and the south west of England are available at Newport. Connections from Birmingham are available at Hereford.

The station is within easy walking distance of the Festival, Taxi's are plentiful for those who require them.
