Walks & Forays

Wildlife-friendly Farming
Leader: Mark Langley, Monmouthshire Countryside Service

Tickets: £10.00 (including transport by minibus)

    • 9.45am for 10.00am to 1.00pm

Sponsored by Abbey Veterinary Centre

Visit Great Bailea Farm, Penrhos, a 170 acre farm, with beef cattle and suckler cows, which is being farmed in an environmentally friendly way. The owners, Mr and Mrs Grove will talk about the farm and how it is managed. Refreshments provided. This will be followed by a hilly 1 mile (1.6 km) walk around the farm to see how the land is being farmed with wildlife in mind.

Wear boots or stout shoes and bring wet weather clothes. 15 places available.

Meet at Abergavenny TIC at 9.45 am. Journey time: half an hour.
