James Oseland demonstrates dishes from one of the great, undiscovered cuisines of South East Asia; the rich, intensely vibrant domestic cooking of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, where he lived and traveled for over twenty years. Oseland edits the American food magazine Saveur and teaches cookery. His superb book, Cradle of Flavour: Home Cooking from the Spice Islands won a 2007 James Beard Award, the top accolade for food writing in America, and was selected as one of the ten best books of the year on Asia by Time Asia.
