Visual artist Jake Tilson’s A Tale of Twelve Kitchens was one of the best food-books of 2006 and won the World Gourmet Book Award. From his pop-artist parents’ household in 60’s Notting-Hill to his present-day home in Peckham, Tilson’s collection of photographs, memories, recipes, fragments of packaging and food paraphernalia gleaned from five decades and four countries tell a story that is both an intimate family portrait and a graphic culinary record. A true work of art.
