Walks & Forays

Organic Food from the Hills
Leader: Clive Williams, Brecon Beacons National Park

Tickets: £9.50 (including transport by minibus)

    • 1.45pm for 2.00pm - 5.00pm

Visit Maes-y-beran, an organic beef and sheep farm (home of Llanthony Valley Organics) run as a partnership by Mark Morgan & Birgit Reheusser. The farm has been entered into the Tir Gofal Agri-environmental scheme. Join Mark for a 1.5 mile walk with steep sections to see how food production can be balanced with care for wildlife and the historic landscape. Meet the Red Devon cattle and sheep. Enjoy Birgits' home made cakes in her organic garden on your return.

Wear boots or stout shoes and bring wet weather clothes. 15 places available.

Meet at Abergavenny TIC at 1.45pm. Journey time: half an hour.
