Angela Hartnett is probably Britain’s top female chef. She has worked for Gordon Ramsay since 1994 and took charge of his kitchen at The Connaught in 2002, winning a Michelin-star within a year. Her family are Italian by way of South Wales and it is to her maternal grandmother that she traces her early interest in food and cooking; footsteps that she retraces in her first book Angela Hartnett’s Cucina: Three Generations of Italian Family Cooking.
