Allegra McEvedy is a cook with a mission: ‘to make the best food for the most people.’ She has headed up kitchens for Robert De Niro in New York, and in London has worked at Green’s, The River Café and The Groucho Club.

She is a co-founder of the Leon restaurant chain whose healthy fast-food won Best New Restaurant in the Observer 2005 Food Awards and Resident Chef at The Guardian G2, Here she demonstrates her light, fresh, seasonal cooking with recipes from her second book Allegra McEvedy’s Colour Cookbook, winner of a prestigious International Association of Culinary Professionals Award in 2007.
