Head Chef Cyril Royer and his team are passionate about using the best organic, local, and fresh produce. They demonstrate some of the dishes which are winning this new restaurant a strong following.

Demo by James Sommerin – The Crown at Whitebrook
Head Chef James Sommerin returns to the Festival having brought The Crown at Whitebrook the ultimate accolade, a Michelin Star. Theirs was the only star awarded in Wales in 2007, and they now become one of only two Michelin Star restaurants in Wales.

Demo by Stephan Trinci – Gliffaes Country House Hotel
The Gliffaes, a Slow Food member, is set in the Brecon Beacons National Park with 2.5 miles of fishing on the Usk. Head Chef, Stephan Trinci specialises in good, local ingredients, simply cooked and well presented.

Locally sourced ingredients skilfully prepared, local real ales, quality wines, and good service in a relaxed atmosphere make The Crown a positive addition to Abergavenny’s reputation for food and drink.

Come and take part in a menu of conversations with friends or strangers, about ideas and notions of home around our tea table.
