Angelic vision at Food Fest'

Last night (Thursday 13th September) Abergavenny Food Festival festivities kicked off with the annual Fanfare Community Supper in the Victorian Market Hall. This was the first chance for visitors to see eagerly awaited sculptures by local artist Bettina Reeves and her Arts Alive team. This year people were wowed by an angelic vision of winged chefs soaring in the rafters. It's not known for sure if these fantastic eight foot sculptures were based on prominent chefs - but one has already been christened 'Nigella'. Most are wearing Crocs, but 'Nigella' is definitely more stylish - she's wearing size 13 stilletos, specially puchased on ebay.
